Still Nursing?

Question

Yes! My Lil Guy is 21 months old and still nurses. I'm okay with it, but family thinks it's way overdue to quit. What are other mother's thoughts. I've read its quite normal to nurse this long in other countries. For some reason, USA is not on the same program.

22 months and still nursing! I’m planning to hopefully wean by 2, but we’ll see.

My son is 23 months tomorrow and we are still nursing 2-3 times a day. I'm also 26 weeks pregnant with baby #2. It's still working for us and I'm just going to go with the flow. If it becomes too much, then we can work on weaning, otherwise, he will give it up when he's ready. There are still benefits to extended breastfeeding and there is nothing abnormal about it. You do what works for you and your child!

My son is 23 months old and I’m still nursing. I get comments all the time as well, but honestly I don’t care. I hope to wean him off after his second birthday this coming April, but I’m in no rush. He is perfectly healthy & happy so if he needs to nurse a bit longer than we will. It’s a personal choice don’t let people’s opinions get to you. Do what works for you and your baby.

A month off being two here and still going, however we have cut back alot.since my milk dried up due to number #2 cooking away...

I’m stopping close to 24 months. She’s just so big for me to hold and is hurting my back.
