Almost 40, TTC#2, PCOS, Keto

Jennifer • Mommy to a 7yr old daughter, TTC #2 with PCOS while doing Keto.

Warning... long post. So, I'm a bit of a mess. lol A little backstory: My daughter is 7, we've unofficially tried for a second baby almost since immediately after I had her. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2006, and, after a MC in 2007, we got pregnant in 2009 after deciding we weren't going to try anymore, that we were ok if it was just the two of us the rest of our lives. About three years ago, my cycle changed. They've only ever been regular while I was dieting the few months before I got pregnant with my daughter. Every 45 days like clockwork during that time. Since having my daughter, they were all over the place. Sometimes 2 days long, sometimes 2 weeks long. Super crampy and usually heavy. About three years ago, they changed. Still unpredictable, but no longer painful, and nothing more than spotting. Fast forward to 2018...I started Keto 6 weeks ago and have lost almost 30lbs. The day before starting Keto, I started my typical spotting, and it turned into a 13 day period just from changing my eating habits. So, expecting/hoping things would go back to predictable, I set my normal cycle at 45 days. During the week I was supposed to ovulate according to Glow, but hubby had the flu, so timing was horrible. I don't think I actually ovulated that week, though. The end of last week, I felt what seemed like ovulation pains. This weekend, we BD'd. According to Glow, I was supposed to start yesterday. Last night, I started feeling mildly campy, and had spotting when I wiped right before bed. All day today, backache, mild cramping, tender boobs... All the normal AF signs, but no more spotting, no AF. I'm still crampy, but it's not all over like it was last night. it's almost concentrated to one area. I'm giving it a couple more days, but if no AF by the weekend, I'm going to buy a test. It doesn't seem likely, but, at the same time, stranger things have happened, right?
