Circumcision problems?

Okay, I’m not looking to be shamed for having my son circumcised. It’s Already done and if you don’t agree don’t comment.

My question is for moms who have had their sons circumcised: if you had the plastic ring (not sure what it’s called) did your sons get red and pretty swollen? I’m thinking his is infected. He acts fine otherwise and isn’t running a fever. No strange discharge. I called his pediatrician office and the doctor called back and said swelling and redness is typical before it falls off... I’m just so scared something is wrong.
