HELP ! uncomfortable nursing pads

im a first time mom and before my son was born i had bought a box of nursing pads so i didn't leak everywhere.. well they are awful! the moment i put them on my breast and nipple become red and itchy.!

my breast do not itch whatsoever without them on only when they are.. i do leak quit a bit.. and its a little annoying to leak all over my t shirts but i would rather then itch and be uncomfortable.. any advice or maybe a different solution so i wont itch!
