Toy organization

okay this is a long shot but maybe someone has some suggestions for me. we recently moved into a new house, it's decent size but it is full with my in laws stuff still. so we don't have a designated area for a toy room so our toys are all over the place and disorganized to the point that my two year old doesn't even play with his toys anymore.

my question is how do you guys organize your toys?

more specifically we have a lot of Melissa and Doug toys which most come in cute wooden boxes, any other Melissa and Doug fans how do you display these toys?
