Has anyone tried this? My 5 week old is constipated

Not for a five week old. You need to talk to their pediatrician if you think baby is constipated. Do not give baby ANYTHING other than breast milk or formula at 5 weeks old without consulting the doctor.

4oz warm filtered water with 1 teaspoon brown suger. Your baby will have no issues. I used this with my son worked wonders

I give mine 2 oz warm water and 1 tbs of kayro syrup. He poops in about 30 minutes of drinking it.

I did with my 1 month old one day because he strained and cried all day trying to poop. Unfortunately it didn’t really work as he kept straining and crying the next day but once he finally did poop it was much darker then normal which made sense.

Yes. My pediatrician let me do one ounce at 5-6 weeks per day. It worked after about two days. But if your breastfeeding it’s pretty normal for them to be constipated.

We did but we talked to the doctor first when he was younger. It was the formula we were using, but we mixed a small amount into his formula. Now that he’s bigger we mix it with the water he drinks at meals instead of his formula. Apple juice also works or pears once they are eating solids.

We give prune juice at least every other day otherwise my 1.5 year old gets bound up :(
