About small things yes. Basically stuff he was unsure of how to tell me lol I know it sounds weird but this was when my boyfriend didn't know how to communicate with me. Like he thought I would get mad at him for telling me he doesn't feel like going out with me so he'd rather stay home and relax. He would lie and say he had to do xyz so we couldn't go out instead of telling me the truth. Like I get that, that doesn't hurt my feelings as long as you tell me the truth! So I just told him we need to work on communication. We still are and so far it's great!
