What's the deal?

I'm 37 weeks and 1 day, at the doctor appointment today I was measuring at 39 weeks... has this happened to anyone else? did they end up delivery the baby early? could the baby just be really big or did they get my due date wrong?

I was measuring 4 weeks ahead from 32-37 weeks. I went to two growth scans and both can back perfect and baby girl was measuring 42 percentile so she’s little. My dr said because this is my second maybe I am just showing bigger, and at my last appointment I was only 1-2 weeks ahead so the dr thinks baby dropped. It unfortunately doesn’t mean they got your dates wrong or that you will deliver earlier... just some women carry bigger and some women have bigger babies. Good luck!!

I'm 35 weeks measuring 38. It doesn't really mean anything except that baby is big! Probably just more uncomfortable for Mom. :( I feel your pain

I’m measuring two weeks ahead due to high levels of fluid. Still within the normal range, just on the high end of normal. I also have baby sticking her butt and feet out at the top of my belly which causes me to measure further as well. Baby’s position, fluid, shape of uterus, size of baby and other things can all contribute to measuring ahead.
