9 month old sleeping?

Question

Just wondering how any of you get your LOs to sleep at night. I either have to feed her a bottle to which she’ll fall asleep eating or rock her to sleep. She will not just go to sleep if I lay her in her crib, she’s very needy! Lol. How do you guys get them to sleep?

My LO gets laid in her bed awake and she puts herself to sleep. Even at night if she wakes and whines, she puts herself back to sleep. If I even go in there she gets really upset and will scream her head off, it’s just worked better for us to let her go back to sleep on her own. She usually whines for a min or two, finds her Nuk, and goes back to sleep. We just made sure to never associate sleeping with eating from the start. I just sprinkle about 4 Nuks in her bed at night and she finds them in her own if she needs it.

Sleep training. At this age you have to put them down awake, there will be tears but falling asleep independently is a skill. Intially I would let her cry for about 5 minutes then go in and comfort her, which just upset her more so then I stopped doing checks. Luckily she never cried for too long & now she puts herself to sleep. If you nurse to sleep baby won’t learn to put themself to sleep. Keep the bedtime routine consistent & don’t let nursing/bottle be the last thing you do before putting baby in crib

Mine is the same as yours! He either has to be rocked and sang to sleep, or given a bottle, or nursed. Still trying to figure out how people get their babies to just fall asleep on their own. I lay him in the crib half asleep and he will realize and be fully awake.

We avoided all bad sleep habits and common issues by sleep training and promoting good sleep habits from day one. She was sleeping 12 hours straight by 5 weeks old and then we nap trained at 4 months.

my twins only sleep 8-9 hours at night and have 3-4 1-2hr naps during the day. we get up at 720am, bed by 11pm. we give them solids at 830ish, a bath at 9/30(on bath night), get them into jammies, the last bottle of the day at 10/30, brush their teeth, walk them into their room, turn on sound machine, turn off light, sit in rocking chair for 5 mins, then lay them down drowsy but not sleeping at 1045-11ish. they will stay asleep until 7-8 am the next morning

Usually a bath, bottle, book, and then bed. I just lay her down and she goes to sleep. Right now though, my little one is very sick. So I just rock her to sleep or until she's very sleepy and then lay her down still awake.

We do a book and a bottle downstairs with lights dimmed. Then we take him upstairs and do our bedtime routine which is song, prayers and kisses. I put him in his crib and he falls asleep on his own.

I always give my son a bottle before bed. And some days he’s a little more needy than others. Some days he wants to be held to go to sleep and other days I lay him right in his crib once he’s done eating and he goes to sleep.

My 9 month old still has a bottle and goes straight to her crib. Up until a month ago, she would fall asleep while giving her a bottle, but then the 8 month regression happened and we decided to sleep train her. We made her CIO and after 3 nights she was good. We lay her down, she smiles at us and rolls to her side and falls asleep. I’ve had friends who had no issues of their babies sleeping (who were always fed to sleep). I think it just depends on baby!
