Do you support cry-it-out method?

NO! I will hold my baby because that’s the natural reaction we should have as mothers to our infants crying. It’s my job to soothe my baby. I find this method so cruel.

Maybe if you’re sleep training and the child is old enough to self soothe

I’ve attempted it because I was told it’s good to let them cry to develop their lungs. I’m a ftm. Screw that though. Couldn’t do it, I just want to comfort my baby.

Personally I only let my daughter cry for a couple minutes but she’s also still pretty young. 
But when she’s actually old enough . I feel like the cry it out method would be my last resort. Because I love her but she’ll need to learn to sleep on her own sometime and I think it’d be much less traumatic when she’s too young to remember.
Also I didn’t spend $200+ on a crib for her not to sleep in it.

Been told by my pediatrician today that we need to move the baby (he is 4,5 Months old) to another room and let him cry. I said he will cry so much, like loosing his breath cry, on what he responded he will be ok.. 😞 I think we need a new pediatrician..😂

Yup! Worked in 3 days with my son at 6 months old. He now sleeps through the night every night (10 months old).

I’ve let mine cry it out when all his needs have been met. I’ll get what I need to get done quickly like take a freaking piss and brush my darn hair! And then I’ll get him and sleep him. Sometimes all he wants is arms and I need to tend to my other children too. Juggling can be hard and letting him cry it out too sometimes but under the circumstances it has to happen at times.

I have a toddler and more so recently I have started to just let her cry it out. Most of the time she has been crying because she doesn’t get her way or she doesn’t want to go to bed. She’s old enough to self soothe, and needs to learn that she cannot throw fits to get her way. But when she was little we tried to keep it pretty even with times she could cry and leave her alone and times we’d sit with her or hold her. At night when we were sleep training she needed to just cry, but if she was having
A bad day or just sad I’d never turn down cuddles.

I’m not totally against crying but I don’t believe in letting a baby cry it out. If I was upset for whatever reason, I’d want someone to comfort me not leave me alone to cry so I can learn to “self-sooth” 😕
