At what age???

Question

I'm just curious at what age is it ok for you to give your baby adult food? Like bananas, strawberries, and cookies? My friends baby just barley turned 6 month's old and has been eating this stuff for a while. I didn't think they could or should have that stuff at that age? Especially cookies??
* Cathy, I wasn't asking to not let my friend raise her child. Not everyone is out to get others you know. God forbid someone have a question and want to learn before they become a mother right? My hell.😑

6 months is what’s recommended now. Before than their stomachs are not developed enough for anything other than breast milk or formula.

The current recommendation is 6 months and has been for a while. Personally I avoid sweets for children under a year. I have 3 kids though and they started basically everything else at 6 months. I never did baby food as it’s completely unnecessary. Real food. 6 months.

4-6 month’s is time to start solids. It’s usually recommended that you only introduce one new ingredient per week, to be sure she isn’t allergic. But it’s perfectly fine to start with actual food, so long as it’s in very small pieces. I personally wouldn’t give a six month old an actual cookie, but there are arrow root biscuits and such that a meant for babies.

My daughter ate bananas, chicken, cooked carrot sticks basically everything at 6 months. I personally didn't give her cookies or anything on the daily just because of sugar but that's just up to the parents preference.
