Why do I feel guilty about letting my baby sleep alone?

My son is 10 months and for the past month and a half he's been sleeping by himself in his own room. Before that he would sleep half the night in his playard in my room, and half the night in my bed. While I should be ecstatic that he's sleeping on his own and sleeping longer, I feel so guilty. I miss cuddling with him in my bed. Is this normal or am I overthinking this? Has anyone else experienced this guilt?

we put our girl in her crib around 8 months. I do not regret it! she's moving now and it's dangerous if they move when you're asleep and a hazard of falling off the bed. I'm happy she's happy in her crib now. we all sleep better and I don't have to worry about her being in danger.

My 10 month old baby still sleeps with us🙈🙊 but baby Sister is coming in June😢😢😢 I have no idea how to start taking him out of our bed😭😭😭

We switched my son from half cosleeping like you did to his own room and crib around 6 months or so. I still miss the nighttime cuddles and snuggles and waking up to his little hands touching my face. My husband leaves for basic training for 8 weeks this Tuesday and I’m REALLY gonna miss those cuddles then ):

Aww I bet you just miss him and the extra snuggles. It's good for your baby to be an independent sleeper though! I wouldn't feel guilty as long as he seems happy, comfortable, and if you go to him if he cries. I wish my son was a good sleeper but he still needs to sleep in bed with me and any time I try to do a transition he's an absolute wreck.
