Hey everyone! I got my first ever depo injection today, I was on microgynon 30 for about 2 and a half years and it was perfect for me until my blood pressure got dangerously high, my doctor said I shouldn’t ever go back on it so they recommended the mini pill (cerazette) but I bled for 30 days straight so I stopped that also. That was about a year ago!

I’m in a 3 year relationship and we both don’t want kids in the near future (both 21 years old) so I’ve decided to try the injection, I’m just wondering if anyone has any information on their experience of side effects and how long they took to start showing? My doctor went through some of them but she said in most cases they go after the second or third shot.. but ive read some women saying it’s been awful for them and they haven’t gone even after months of stopping the injection.. just wondering if any of you have experienced this form of contraception?
