Echogenic Bowel at 20 week ultrasound

Pregnancy has been healthy so far, but I’m 38 y.o. with my first so advanced maternal age. At our 20 week screening, all was normal except for indications of echogenic bowel, where the bowel shows brighter on the scan. We’ve done all available genetic testing already and all has come back negative and healthy to date. However, it is a “soft marker” that could mean nothing, or could be an indication of Downs or Cystic Fibrosis, or viral infection like toxoplasmosis. Tho chances for that remain statistically low. The doctor’s vibe was assuring and said its highly unlikely something is wrong but it has to be monitored. We go back in about 2 weeks to see if anything has changed. I wonder if anyone has had similar experiences? I’m not overly worried, but it definitely wasn’t the visit I was hoping for. Funny how they tell you not to stress, but then of course, all you’ll do is stress.
