doctor advised to not give homo milk and only Apple juice and water....thoughts?

I am completely baffled by this doctor. he is adamantly against her drinking homo milk and thinks as a 15 month old she should be drinking Apple juice or water, no milk. thoughts?

Homogenized milk? I wouldn’t go around calling it homo milk, but do you. I’d be seeing a new pediatrician as well.

get a new doctor. juice is not good due to all the sugars.  they can have 2 cups of milk a day. I don't give cows milk,I use almond milk.

Yikes! I wouldn’t do that - we didn’t (and still don’t) do juice except maybe once or twice a month and didn’t start until she was 18 months old. I would stick with whole milk and water and possibly find a new pediatrician.

Our ped was and is anti cows milk. If the baby was no longer breastfeeding at 12 months, he switched us to water only. I have no idea why a doctor would ever suggest juice. That is baffling. But no cows milk is becoming more common.

milk is essential for vitamins so unless you're giving her vitamin drops, she needs the calcium and vitamin D. also...im surprised he chose sugar in juice vs. milk

Our doctor said she should be drinking less milk now but do not give her juice it’s full of sugar.  Water and milk are best!  We usually do milk in am before nap and before bed.  Then water the rest of the day.

No cows milk is becoming more popular these days, but usually they suggest a milk alternative like almond or pea milk. I’d do one of those or just give her the milk. I wouldn’t be giving more than a glass of juice a day if you choose juice and I’d add other things into her diet to make up the calcium and things she’ll miss out on from no milk.
