1 hour car ride, 1 week post op for nephews birthday?

C section will be on the Monday and they will have the party on the Sunday. He will be turning 3. I don’t want to miss his birthday but seriously wondering if I’ll be up to it. They live an hour away. 
I’m hoping she’ll do it at my mums which is 15 mine away as it will only be my family anyway but just wanted peoples opinions

I think you should wait and see how you feel. I know I didn't feel up to really leaving the house for about two weeks. Major abdominal surgery is tough to recover from.

with my first C-section it hurt to get out of bed and stand up and move around a lot for the first almost 2 weeks!

I’m 1 week post op today and was in the car for probably 45 min yesterday, and was okay. But I’ve had a fairly smooth recovery. I havent needed anything more than ibuprofen so I would definitely play it by ear. They should understand!
