It was an awesome experience for me! I made life long friend and got involved in volunteering. I went away for college, so I felt like my sorority gave me a home away from home. 💚

Do it! I personally wasn't in a sorority because I went to an all women private college but I got to see what my friends were doing a lot of the time. My husband was in a fraternity, my two sister in law's and handful of friends were in different sororities and they loved it! Bonding for a lifetime, philanthropy, and networking; totally worth it.

Unfortunately, my chapter dissolved due to poor leadership and obnoxious drama, but before that occurred, it was great. I made incredible friends and developed skills. I owe a great deal of who I became to Greek life - both my sorority and the fraternity friends I made.

It's always been something i wanted to be apart of, i was lucky enough to experience greek life on the inside without being in a sorority. When i transfer this fall ill definitely be rushing

This is late but I think anyone interstered should go through recruitment.
I’m almost done with my New Member period and will be getting initiated soon and all of the girls in the sorority I’m rushing are sweethearts. 
All sororities are different and you shouldn’t let other people’s opinions alter your opinion. 
Prices vary. Some are really expensive and some are on the cheaper side. You are NOT paying for friends. You’re paying for housing (if your sorority has a house), events, shirts, apparel, and other functions. And in case anyone reads this, just know that this truly is a process. There are certain requirements that you have to complete to become a member. Things like GPA, involvement, and volunteering are typically required so make sure that you are serious about this and that you’re willing to put in your time.
Don’t let stereotypes and people who haven’t gone through the process sway how you feel either. Trust me, I’m the shyest person ever and I’ve been loving it so far. Some people belong in  some sororities and some being in others. You will find your “home”
