How long am I supposed to pump?

I pump every 3 hours and I never know when I’m “empty” the flanges kind of fog up so I can’t tell when the milk stops flowing! I’ve been pumping for like 30-40 minutes every 3 hours.

Answer

I usually pump for 15-20. 30 if it’s been more than 3-4 hours for me. But you can usually tell if you have been pumping for 5 mins and the amount of milk in the containers hasn’t seemed to increase.
