Vitamins for breastfed baby?!

Ok so long story short I exclusively pump and breastfeed when he allows. This is my 3rd babe but so far it’s the longest I’ve gone with pumping/breastfeeding. So my question is should I be giving him any other vitamins like vitamin D or iron supplement? I was reading an article that says your baby doesn’t get enough vitamin D from breastfeeding so I was curious if I needed to start giving him some!?

Our ped told us to give our first baby a vit d supplement since he was breastfed. He screamed and cried the few times I gave it to him, as if it upset his tummy. I stopped the supplement and started taking him for short walks outside to get him some sun. We dropped that ped (for several reasons) and our little guy is now a very healthy 3.5 year old. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The best form of vit d is through sunlight. Do your own research and make the decision based on your own lifestyle and location. Taking a supplement/getting more sun yourself instead of giving to baby is also an option.

Thank you all!! I was just at his 4 month checkup and if I would have know I definitely would have asked but like I said this is the longest I have breastfed so it’s all kinda new for me. But I will go to target now and get some for him.
