weird allergic reaction?

so today during my work lunch I ate leftover lasagna and garlic bread from lastnight. shortly after my left hand started to swell to almost twice it's normal size, I started to get red patches on my face and neck. I started sweating, started to uncontrollably shake, my heart rate increased, and I became dizzy /light headed. I had my SO's father come pick me up from work and take me to urgent care but by the time he got there and got me to urgent care everything started to subside. In total everything lasted for about 45 minutes. The doctor said my symptoms were weird since I ate the same thing lastnight and this didn't happen and because there was no swelling anywhere else but my hand and I didn't have trouble swallowing but she ruled it as an allergic reaction and sent me on my way. Has anything like this ever happened to you and if so was it an allergic reaction? Up until today I have never had an allergic reaction. I just find it a little weird.
