Why should you adopt?

I need some good ideas of why adopting is good idea and why more people should adopt.

Answer

I don’t know exactly what you mean by “good idea,” but this is my full take on adoption from the prospective of being an adoptive parent and sister of an adopted sibling. 
Adoption stems from brokenness and trauma. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. Every adoption will have trauma.
Adoption is like beauty from the ashes. It’s a second chance for children to have a family that they otherwise wouldn’t have. In the US and abroad, aging out of foster care or especially, from an orphanage, leaves kids without any support network, finances and without guidance. For kids with special needs, it’s 100x worse. 
We aren’t all called to adopt, as it truly takes a certain personality that has the patience and perseverance to not only deal with the process of adoption but parenting an adopted child that may be born from a different culture, race, country, or speak a different language. That said, I think more people are able to and would make great adoptive parents but are held back by fear, uncertainty or finances. 
Ultimately, adoption needs to be about the child though (which is one reason why I’m firmly against most domestic infant adoptions and what that looks like today). There are so many millions of children already alive in need of families. For us, we wanted to be that family.

Please, if you are a strong and loving individual, please adopt. I was adopted as a baby out of a horrible situation. I am now 20 years old, and am thriving because of the last 20 amazing years with my adoptive parents. Now, as I am looking into the possibility of having my own children, in the next few years, I have realized that the world is full of children, just like myself who needs a strong and loving home and family to call their own. Therefore, I do not plan to HAVE my "own" but instead to adopt and to CLAIM my own. ❤❤ Yes, adoption comes with a price and sometimes heartache for the adoptive parent and the child, but it is well... well worth it.
