I just got depo today! I was wondering if it was safe for me to have sex with a condom today. The doctor said it takes 7 days to become active an working right. Is it ok to have sex now with a condom or

Well always listen to your doctor. A nurse told me wait 30 days. I was like wtf. But I’ve read from many different sources, as long as you get the shot within 5 days of your period onset, then it’s effective immediately. I had sex 36 hours after getting the shot and I’m not pregnant.
