As a registered massage therapist in canada, they are completely safe! Just make sure you tell them you are pregnant as that changes what techniques they will use. :)

Yes, massages are safe. I got a chair massage during my second trimester and I got a prenatal massage this past Friday. The prenatal massage was the best thing that happened to me all last week.
