Baby high temp???

I nanny for a doctor. Her 5 month old baby has a temp of 101.8 and doesn’t seem to worry.. I gave him meds and it’s not coming down. He also won’t take his bottles. How high before he needs to go to the ER?? I’m just worried..

Hi! I’m also a nanny and recently went through the baby being sick. The family told me to just monitor him and if it got higher than 103 while he is on meds then they would take him. Just keep checking throughout the day! I also put a cool wash cloth on the back of his neck to try to keep him comfortable. Good luck!!
