Abortion but still pregnant maybe

I’ve had a surgical termination (personal reasons why so no hate please,this is advice not a post to be hated on) I’ve took a test a week later and it’s still saying pregnant,quite dark to. How long is it till you should test after so the hormone is out the system,I’m sure the woman said a week but like I said it’s still quite dark.
