Cancer?

Question

I just got told I have cervical cancer. My appointment isn't until Tuesday but I'm trying to figure things out before then. What are my options? Will I be able to have children? I've been ttc for 7 months now and just recently got a faint line of it is positive will I be able to keep the pregnancy or will I have to treat the cancer first? Can someone please help me? I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May 2017, they will need to do surgery right away to remove the cancer (I won’t say anything about you being pregnant because I do not know what they would do about that). I had my cervix removed and it has now been 8 months since my final surgery, as long as you don’t have to do chemo/radiation you should be able to conceive. We’ve only been trying 2 months but I feel optimistic based on everything my perinatal doctor and oncologist told me. I even froze my eggs in between surgeries just in case I had to do chemo. They should be able to remove it pretty easy. Wishing you all the luck, you are a warrior!

My best friend was diagnosed with cervical cancer shortly after finding out she was pregnant with her first child. They said there was nothing they could do until the baby was born. So she had her baby (healthy full term via c section due to breech position) and then shortly after her birth she had a LEEP procedure to remove the cervical cancer. It wasn’t on her entire cervix. Then 5 months later, she got pregnant with her second child and had no complications with that pregnancy either. She gave birth to him full term via c section as well.

My mom was diagnosed with cervical cancer after I was born. She thought I’d been her only one, but several years later she got my sisters as a sweet surprise! I don’t know your specifics, but just hold out hope until the physicians tell you otherwise. Right now you need to take care of you! There’s no babies without a healthy mama! Stay strong!  xoxo
