Children in room during delivery

How many if you have had your child or children in the room during your delivery? This is an experience I want my son to be involved in. He's 8 years old. The hospital is ok with it. I should have been a little more specific. He wants to be in there we've been watching birthing videos and he knows what to expect. He's actually going to be taking pictures. He's very excited about it.
