It’s hard to say. 
I met my boyfriend during a very bad time in my life. I still had contact with my ex and a bunch of other shit was going on. 
At the same time, if we didn’t meet when we did, we probably wouldn’t be together right now.

My situation is a bit different. I think I've found an amazing guy for me, but the timing is all fucked up. We go to different schools on the same island in the Caribbean. He'll be leaving in August, but I'll be here for another 2 years, so we can't get into anything serious. I visit home after every semester (he live a little over an hour from me in the states). Sure we'll be able to see each other in between, but LDRs never work, so we'll just have to play it by ear and let things just play out, even if it means just remaining friends or cutting ties all together.

As my views your meant to find the one when time is right. My nan was friends with a lady and saw her a few times a week that lived in my SO estate until a year before he was born she died. Then
Me and my SO grew up streets away as kids and never met meat each other. Then almost moved to the house by his and would of attended the Same high school.
Then we worked in an outlet together and we both happened to swap shifts with co workers and meet then. After a year or so of us both working there.
we both had a couple times if things would of worked out slightly different then we would of met sooner and things might of been completely different but we both entered each other's life's at the right time and that's why I think no sorry 😐 
In my opinion if it's meant to be it will be xx
