Has anyone gotten sick around their newborn??

Well I have a 6 week old, and I just started getting sick since yesterday. Now I have a pretty bad cough and runny nose! 😫
If anyone has been sick around their small babies, did your baby end up getting it??

I got sick my fourth day PP. My grandma assured me that baby wouldn’t get sick from me since I was breastfeeding. But my husband, the one that brought the sickness home, had to sleep in another room. So I kept nursing and cuddling while my husband was quarantined. Sickness lasted about 7 days and baby never got sick.

I have not been really sick but my very handsy two year old has had rsv and a more mild cold. Our new guys got
RSV at about two weeks and now at eight weeks has a mild cold. He is ok. Breast feeding helps a lot with antibodies, especially if you’re sick - so if you breast feed just keep at it. Otherwise all you can do is the normal stuff - hand wash etc. and if baby gets sick I recommend a humidifier and a nose Frieda with some saline drops. Good luck.

Not me but my mom.
When Little Dude was a week old, she came up (flew) to visit. Held and fed him on Friday. Started getting flu symptoms Saturday morning. Flew back home Sunday morning with full blown flu symptoms. 
Somehow, none of us—me, hubs, baby—got sick. Thank god.

Both my girls had what sounds the same as you 😐 oldest is three and the baby was two weeks old when it started. The cough got so bad that it would make them throw up. It wasn’t fun and lasted three weeks. I hope for the best for you! Wouldn’t wish it on anyone!
