Can your vagina be too acidic?

I can’t seem to find anything helpful googling it.  
My boyfriend said something to me about mine being acidic to a point where it makes his mouth feel like he ate a ton of pineapple.    I had an ex say a similar thing about how it made the cuts on his fingers burn.  
I’ve also tried a ph balancing wash and it gave me a yeast infection 
Plus how do I word it to my ob in a way that’s professional sounding

Vaginas are meant to be a little acidic, it’s a natural barrier to infection. I would still ask your OB about it though, maybe your pH balance is a little off?
I wouldn’t worry about the wording, they’ve heard it all! :)

Do not use soaps down there! 🙅🏻‍♀️ just water and wash cloth is all that you need. Using soaps is what causes infections.

You can get strips that will tell you if your ph is off. Your diet has a lot to do with how acidic your body and its fluids are. If you’re eating a lot of processed foods your body will be more acidic. You can look online at what foods make your body more alkaline... it Seems backward but things like grapefruit juice and apple cider vinegar actually make you more alkaline- so take a look at what you’re eating and drinking!

Just ask your ob straight up and you will get the most helpful feedback from them by saying exactly what’s going on. 😊
