I know some people who just really wanted to be moms even though they were in relationships that they knew weren't long term. one was 39 and thought it was her last chance at motherhood for example. BUT, this is in Iceland where familes tend to all live nearby and there's no stigma to being a single mom because there's also plenty of societal support for parents in general. doesn't mean I think it was the best idea but I think they're at least better off than someone living in America and thinking having a baby will fix a toxic relationship

you mean like why try to have a baby with someone you don't have a future with? cus I get that. my friend thought having a baby would fix things but it only put her and baby at risk of so many things. smh

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say here...are you trying to say they’re having trouble conceiving because they’re not getting along? Or are you saying it’s dumb to TTC with someone you’re not getting along with?
