Bra and mastitis?

Ladies, I’ve heard that wearing a wire bra can give you mastitis if you’re breastfeeding. So my question is, if that’s true, is there a certain time limit that I could wear one (like a date night) that I wouldn’t get mastitis?

I don't think it is the wired bra that is going to give you mastitis,  as long as you're regularly pumping you should be fine. If you're engorged for a long time during the date night,  that may have an affect.

I know people who wear wired bras every day and have never got it. I use to wear wired bras all the time. I’ve heard that mastitis is mostly common in women who are breastfeeding.
