Acne from PCOS?

Please let me know what products you guys use for your hormonal acne from PCOS. I’m currently a month into Metformin and my goodness it’s making it worse. :(

I work at a dermatology office and also have pcos. I have been prescribed spironolactone for my hormonal acne and it has done wonders!

I’m on spirolinactone (male hormone blocker). Tried metformin, a few times- did not work for me! Had way more negative effects from it than positive. But I can’t take bc either. Also I read a blog by a woman with PCOS who was also on spirolinactone and she was using this effaclear duo- cleanser and appt treatment. Available at Walgreen’s! They got it in right after I read about so I was way excited! I got a gift pack they had that had the cleanser, spot treatment and a toner and I really liked it. It was $30 for the pack.

So frustrating.... I am using Aveeno clear complexion wash and moisturizer. It’s nice and simple. I find the only thing that helps my cystic acne is supplements and diet though. Still tweaking it!! No dairy or sugar. Not even multigrain now ugh..... the list is endless of what we can’t eat on PCOS but hey, that’s life 😅 #antiinflammatorydiet

I’m in the same boat! I haven’t been on metformin long but I feel like it’s making the acne worse.   You might try drinking mint or spearmint hot tea.  I use Ladies Balance spearmint tea I got off amazon.  It is supposed to help balance hormones and has helped a lot with my acne!
