dating a drunk need serious advice!!!!

so I've been dating this guy for a month now and I really like him and he's a hard worker and works probably 50+ hours a week he's also a complete gentlemen opens doors pays for everything has very old school set of mind. the only problem is he likes to drink all weekend non stop and it's starting to wear me down I don't want to break things off with him he was so hurt by his ex wife she cheated on him and I don't want to be someone else he pushes away. any advice on this would be helpful. I'm not looking for someone to just tell me to dump him either because that's not what I want to do
