so I found put yesterday that I'm pregnant and I don't even know where to start or how to start going to the doctor to check up on if I really am. I don't see why I wouldn't be since all 3 test I took came.back positive and I am a whole week late on my period. maybe it's just nerves but i could really use the advice.

I literally went to planned parenthood cuz I wasn’t ready to tell my mom yet, I was 18 with my first. They did a test to make sure and they asked what I wanted to do and I told them I wanted to keep it and they were so helpful, gave me names and numbers to obs. Depends on what state your in though, that was ny and here in Florida your kinda all on your own because we are a republican state lol. But I would start with them they should be able to help in one way shape or form

When I found out, I went to the urgent care near me and they confirmed it with a urine and blood test! I then set up an appointment with an OB! I still have to apply for my medical card, but other than that, That’s what I did!

I live in VA so I went to Virginia Womens Center since that is where I go for my annual. The team is really nice. But call your ob. They might want you to go in for a blood test if you’re irregular. I had to go in for two blood tests Bc I had a MC last month and got a positive this month. To make sure my levels were rising properly. Just tell them you need to schedule your first prenatal appointment and they will ask you questions. It’s easy.

Ring your doctors and they’ll give you a number for your community midwife team.
Usually midwife will book to see you when your around 8 weeks (this dates from the first day of your last period) and then they will direct you from there 😊

When I got my positive test, I just called my OB and they scheduled me an appointment based on my LMP. Some OB's will see you right away and do a confirmatory ultrasound, some wait until you are a certain number of weeks. My OB seen me when I was 8 weeks along.
