Ultrasound at 17 weeks help?

I’m very confused at this. The entire time the tech said the baby had it’s legs crossed and said it’s a girly position so she went off that and passed it as a girl despite never seeing or at least pointing out the genitalia of my baby. I literally have no clue what I’m looking at because she never explained lol ? Help ?? Heart Beat was 145 I believe. If that helps 😞

No genitals = no confirmation In my opinion.

They should have just said it was inconclusive and to come back for another scan. It’s unprofessional for them to assume/ guess the gender.

Wow I hate to comment because I don’t even have an answer for you.  Normally I can tell what I’m looking at in ultrasounds and this just leaves me clueless 🤨 did she try and justify what a “ girly” position is compared to a boy position? I’d be a little irritated because that’s not much to go off of..... 🤔

This is just my speculation on your first ultrasound, but I think she might have at least been right on the gender, even if she definitely didn’t explain it very well!

That would aggravate me.  I'm having a girl and every time I'm at an ultrasound she has her legs spread wide open lol That's not very girly, but with genetelia confirmation and blood work we know she's a girl.  It seems odd for a tech to confirm with that.
