Too many wet diapers?! 👶🏻🍼

Question

Hello! I started off breastfeeding my LO (he will be one month tomorrow!) and last week decided to start pumping and bottle feeding because he had a bad latch and was causing me pain and pumping is going well and he takes a bottle great. He eats about every 2-3 hours and has about 4 oz every time, sometimes 3 oz. today it’s 6pm and he has had 11 wet diapers, is he eating too much? When I was feeding him through my breast he also was having about 10 wet diapers a day too. Just Starting to get concerned because I was told he should only have 5-6 wet diapers a day.. is 4 oz too much? Can you over feed a baby?? Any advice is welcome and appreciated!!! And this is my handsome little guy!

No mama, there’s no such thing as too many wet diapers so you’re doing great 😊😊😊
4oz of breastmilk is a little on higher side for a 4 weeker on breastmilk (formula amounts are different). Not saying that it’s too much, just try paced feeding so you can keep up with babies appetite as baby gets older. 
For reference, my 12 month old was drinking 4.5oz of breastmilk a feeding.

We had a weird latch and the lactation consultant weighed my two week old before and after. He was getting about 4 ounces a feeding and eating every 2-3 hours during the day.  Every baby is different,  but sounds about right from what I remember with number one when I pumped and sent her to daycare. Babies have tiny bladders you're probably just really good at checking it for him. :) If he's not spitting up a lot after feedings he should be fine.

My sons 10 weeks and sometimes has 5 wet diapers my midday. Dr says he’s doing great, well fed and hydrated! Keep up the great work love! Also love his little beauty mark, Reminds me of Marilyn Monroe 🥰
