Breastmilk poop didn’t wash out??

Okay it was my very first ever poopy cloth diaper. I ran it through the wash TWICE and I’m confused as to why this happened. My baby is only 3 months old and only gets breastmilk. Did I do something wrong or forget a step? I mean I didn’t let it sit out too long? Idgi. I used Tide original.

It happens sometimes. Stick it in the sun and it will go away. It may need two days. Hopefully you live in a climate with sun! 😉 If not, oxiclean powder or spray works prior to rewashing. It’s not good to use regularly but with a tough stain, it works really well.

Sometimes vitamins that you are taking can stain the diaper. I used to get upset when they stained but now I don’t care if they are bright white. You could also try buncha farmers stain stick. It’s cloth safe and helped get some set in stains out. Sometimes I will soak in oxiclean if I really want a stain out.

I have to wash mine on a sanitize cycle to get them really clean!

If it’s still poop there isn’t enough water and agitation. If you have an HE washer sometimes you have to add stuff to the load to “bulk it”

I’m glad you posted this. I have one look EXACTLY like this and I wasn’t happy. I don’t care about stains but I just want to make sure it is thoroughly clean. I had no idea about ‘the sun’! Thank you ladies!!!

It washed ou4, breastfed poop just stains. Nothing a little sun can't fix☺
