Hemorrhoid or anal fissures?

Is there a way to tell if you have a hemorrhoid vs an anal fissure? I’m 3 weeks pp and started having very painful BM about a week ago. Hubby thinks it’s fissures but I also know birth can cause hemorrhoids as well. Is there anything that can be done for either of these!?!?

Go to the doctor, get the correct diagnosis and they can give you a perscription if needed. Otherwise for hemorrhoids you can get Preparation H creams and wipes over the counter.
