Southern belle names ??

Question

I’ve sent my husband a list of names and I mean list ! Lol 
The only one we’ve agreed on is Scarlett Rose which i love !
The only problem is my cousin is pregnant and they are finding out at birth , she’s chose that exact name!
I like names that aren’t too common and I’m hearing Scarlett a lot more lately .
Suggestions ?

In my opinion You can’t call dibs on a name if you aren’t pregnant with a child of that gender. 
Quite frankly just because someone chooses to tell the world their current name choices does not discount that you may have already chosen same name and decided not to share. 
I’d suggest talking in person about it. 
With all the said, I agree Scarlett is becoming a popular name or already is. I took it off my list for it

Ok I guess to clear things up here’s the story. 
We have a 1 year old.
We picked out Ryker Paul and Scarlett rose before he was born.
 She has endo and 1 ovary left 
And they are due in April with their miracle baby.
So yes I had the named picked first but a name is a name. I am not upset they chose it  
I am mad because I send my husband like 50 names and he dislikes them all. Lol
I told him even if she has a boy and we go with the only girl name we agree on 
I am not using it because it is becoming more common .

how close are you and your cousin. I see nothing wrong with both using the same name. I've had a little girls name picked out for the longest time. My husband's cousin used the same name when their daughter was born. our daughter is due in Aug. we still plan on using the name. We aren't super close to his cousin. nor love in the same area.

Lyla Belle, Clara Belle, Gracie, pretty much any name that pairs with Mae (May) as the middle name

My husband and I both love Scarlett but it is become a super popular name and is within the top 50 most popular names. We decided Lacy Ann for our baby if it's a girl

I personally would not steal a name from a family member. Even if she ends up having a boy, they are likely to want to save that name for when they have a girl. If she had the name picked first, I would pick something else. It would be different if it was just someone you knew in passing, but these children would grow up together with the same name.

It depends on who chose the name first. For example, I chose a name for my baby but my friend is due before I am. I would be heartbroken if she took my name, even though she’s giving birth first. Unless you guys don’t talk at all and wouldn’t mind having the same name??
