How is the GA measured?

How is the GA measured? is it based on how big the baby is or is it something the doctor puts in the computer?

Your LMP date you get is just an estimate. With my first daughter based on my LMP I thought i was 11 weeks but I was only 9 weeks when I had my ultrasound and proper measurements. Second daughter though she measured spot on from my LMP date. They’ll give you actual dates at an ultrasound. If it’s within a week of your LMP date then they’ll keep that.

GA - gestational age , is normally from the first day of your last period , unless you had irregular periods or were on birth control and it effected your cycle and they have to go by the measurements
