Crib from day one?

We will soon have our first baby and I just wanted some opinions on putting baby in the crib right away. It’s only 10ft from our room to the nursery and we plan on having monitors. I don’t wish to co-sleep and there is no room for a crib on our room,l. even if we did have a bassinet for our room, my biggest worry is our dogs. We have 5 ( I know, insane right) that all sleep in our room (again I know I’m crazy!😜) and I do not want to have the baby in the same room with the dogs while we’re sleeping at night. Even though I do not believe they would do anything harmful, I do not want to risk it. And not having the dogs in our room at night would mean them howling ALL NIGHT and scratching at the door.

So in a nutshell, I’d like to try crib sleeping from the start. Anyone care to share experiences?
