Sharing room with baby?

So my baby shower is in 3 weeks, and I’m certain our family will be hooking us up with all things baby. We are blessed with large families on both sides so our girl will definitely be set! However, SO and I are 19 and 20 years old, both still in college, and living in a one bedroom apartment for the time being.

I’m curious as to how others in our situation have made the most of their space. I want her to have a cute area in our room that’s just for her, but I’m not sure how to decorate. I want to know your tricks for fitting in a whole new person into such a little living situation! Pictures would be awesome too!
