Ok so I've been friends with this guy for like four years and I started liking him last year. I really want to date him, but I'm worried that it'll ruin our friendship if he doesn't return my feelings. Two of my friends started dating, but they broke it off and it's super awkward between them now, and I'm worried that he and i will do that.

Also, he just so happens to be my best friends brother. I talked to her and she said she's fine with it, but idk... I still feel weird.

I was hoping he'd take me to prom, but he asked someone else and now I don't know if I should still go for it??
