When is the right time?

How soon is too soon? The man I'm with now is the only person I think about. He makes me incredibly happy. He is everything I have ever wanted. We've been talking for 12 months and dating officially for two. We are moving up state together in July and are looking for an apartment. I guess I'm just anxious to start our lives together. When is too soon to get engaged? Married? Start a family? Thanks in advance!

In my honesty opinion , it takes time to really get to know and understand someone. I moved in with my now husband at 4 1/2 years together. Lived together for 5. Got engaged In Aug 17 married November 17. April will be 10 years together.
It takes time to grow up and mature sometimes. We also wanted to make sure we could financially afford what we wanted too. It took him almost a year to get the ring due to their location and his work schedule. 
Looking at our situation now , yes I'm glad we waited , then of course thinking it should have happened sooner but things have changed. We grew up. We learned how to talk to each other , work out or problems. Our needs and dislikes. How we think about money , what we want for the future. I also wanted to be married before having kids. 
I have seen people "rush" or do things things quickly , I've heard the stories that it's successful but I haven't actually seen it for myself. 
Everyone is different. Every situation is different. No one can say what's going to happen. Follow your heart and do what you think is best for yourself.

I guess it all depends on how you feel as long as you consider how big a commitment it really is. All those steps are massive milestones. 
My parents got engaged 6 months after being together and married a year later. Now been married 25 years. 
I’ve been with my partner for four years, we’ve spoken about it and we both agree we want to do it but we don’t feel the rush just now to do those just yet. If I compare our relationship now to two years ago (when we first started speaking about it), it was an entirely different relationship. We both have changed so much and I feel as if we had a big commitment (eg be engaged or married), I’d feel to pressured to get through any hard times we faced. I think next would be a good time for us to get engaged and then go from there. 
I think you need to know fully who you are and be able to be completely yourself with someone before you commit that much. Sometimes doing all this early on in can mean you’re too busy focusing on the excitement of the events and not actually for being together. 
I personally don’t think anyone should rush into it and make sure it’s magical. If it is the right person in the end, it can still happen, there’s no deadline.
