Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 6 months. We’ve known each other our whole lives (literally since cradle days) and have been friends for a while. After the 4th month mark he started talking more seriously about our relationship. Now I’m almost 16(July) and he just turned 17. Anyways around Christmas he mentioned getting me a ring and my first thought was..”why?”. I continually asked him what that even meant and he said he wasn’t sure but it felt right. He didn’t end up getting me a ring instead he got me a necklace, which ofc I was fine with. It’s gorgeous. But ever since then he’s been talking about moving in together and getting married shortly after graduating. My whole life I’ve delt with constant divorce in my family so I don’t really know if I want to get married but the thought of it with him IS nice. We have had sex already because I trust him. For anyone whose going to say we’re too young to even think about this stuff I would just like to point out, our pasts have made us grow up fast. We’re both WAY to mature for our ages. Our families love us together and respect our relationship.

Anyways I can’t figure out what he’s thinking! Sometimes he mentions wanting to propose and then when I ask questions he shuts it down. Either way I’m not too concerned since I’m kinda too young to be engaged but I never know what he’s thinking. He says he’s never loved a girl more than me this soon and at all. He’s had a few ex’s and those relationships lasted a year or more but he says I’m the love of his life and no matter what I do I can’t get rid of him. Not that I want to. Can somebody help me understand what his plans are? He also says he has a surprise for my birthday that his parents don’t agree with but he doesn’t care and his sister is on it. As much as I love him and would accept a proposal I think were too young.

Update!

This past weekend I overheard him and his sister talking about my birthday party this summer and of course I was curious so I listened in and apparently he wants to propose then. Unfortunately I’m left in the dark still because he walked out right after that and I didn’t have time to move. 🤷🏻‍♀️
