I just feel like previous generations had better morals and values.  I am old school and I find very few people in my generation that think like me

Trust me the older generations didn’t have morals or virtues. They had racism, misogyny, and homophobia as well as a bunch of ideals that were controlling. That’s what they have, and it’s these next few generations that are really making the difference. I think the better question is to ask why do you give a shit what other people do? If you want to be conservative and not show any skin or do anything sexual you don’t have to. And that’s the beauty of the new generations is that they are trying to make it so that whether you want to be conservative or you want to be liberal and have your tits out, it doesn’t matter because you’re still a person and you’re worth respecting. So chin up because you live in a time where you can do whatever you want.

I find it to be like a 50/50. People might have had better morals and values, but others were heavily suppressed and lacked a lot of rights. I don’t think I could go back to a time where people were openly racist, sexist, and hateful (not that today doesn’t have that, but at least it’s less tolerated).
But to go back in time where kids were outside 24/7, no phones, no tv....that sounds pretty great.

No, I think we romantizice other time periods because we look mostly at the good things. I'm old at heart, always have been but I'm happy in the time I'm in :)

I think the issues just seem exaggerated in recent years because we have the internet and social media to be so connected to everyone’s thoughts. There were probably plenty of people you would have disliked or disagreed with on their morals 50 years ago, you just wouldn’t have know about them because you would generally surround yourself with only like minded people. The good news is, you can still do that today. You can raise your children however you please. You can be friends with whoever you please. Your life can be 100% different from my life and we both live in 2018; it’s our personal choice. 
I got rid of my Facebook and Instagram and this app is the only “social media” I have. It’s helped a lot with eliminating so much negativity from my day and I can just focus on my own little life lol
