mine didn't react as bad at her 4 month shots as she did at her 2 month ones, but I honestly think it's because she went through some MAJOR trauma at 3 months due to being hospitalized with RSV (even I cried when they had to deep suction her). But my pediatrician told me to expect a good bit of crankiness, and the severity of the cranky is different for each kid. My little girl's biggest behavior change after shots is her lack of interest in eating and longer naps the following day.

my daughter wasn't fussy, exactly. she definitely was not feeling well (slight fever, rosey checks, slept more) but she was still smiling and playful. I think it just depends on the type of immune response they have and how bad it makes then feel. being cranky because they feel bad is normal and understandable. it's probably literally the worst they have ever felt in their tiny, short, loved little lives ❤
