midwives?

has anyone had a great midwife in the city? i was looking at northwestern but really couldn’t find anyone else? i have my first appointment today with an obgyn close to me but i think i would rather birth with a midwife thanks:)

My friend used the northwestern midwives group and loved them. I am considering using them too if I ever get knocked up! 😩😩. Overall, really liking the doctors at northwestern.

Advocate Illinois Masonic hospital has a bunch of midwives that work with them (you can find the practices through the hospital website) & are very highly rated. I wanted to use them with my first but was high risk so needed to go the OB route. Either way, Masonic was a great hospital.

I wanted a midwife with Northwestern, but waited too long to ask for one. So, I ended up getting a doula. She stayed with me for two days in the hospital during my natural birth. Without her, I definitely would have had an emergency c-section. She is based in Oak Park, but travels to nearby hospitals. Let me know if you would like her information.

I live in the city but delivered in elmhurst memorial hospital loved the midwives there

The University of Illinois has an awesome midwifery program that has specialist in almost everything related to prenatal, postnatal care and before and beyond. They are also highly successful in VBAC. 
I've been seeing them since 2014. They've seen me through three pregnancies.🤰
