Baby shower or diaper party with seventh baby but haven’t had one before

My husband and I are having our seventh baby in August. We live in Germany (I’m American) and baby showers aren’t a thing here. I tried to have one with a precious pregnancy but no one came. They said it ‘wasn’t a tradition of theirs’ I was really disappointed and upset. Obviously I got over it. However, I still feel like I missed out on being celebrated for carrying life and my babies missed out on being celebrated. With it being our seventh baby, we don’t need many baby things or clothes, only what we don’t have because of our babies being born in different seasons. I really want to celebrate pregnancy and our baby! I really want to have a ‘baby-q’ and a diaper raffle. Just a cookout for family and friends and if they bring a pack of diapers, they have a chance to win a gift card and gift (or something like that) We’d draw a name at the end. What do you think? Should I try again to do something for myself and our baby that isn’t a ‘german tradition’? I’d like to do the diaper raffle not because we absolutely NEED help buying diapers, but we’ll have two in diapers when the new baby comes and it would certainly be helpful. Plus, I don’t see it as necessarily asking for free diapers because we’ll be throwing a party with food and giving away a prize
